O’Brien Family Success Story

Outback Deck installed a synthetic deck for the O’Brien family in Marietta, GA in late 2022. The original build was an entirely pressure treated deck, with a rotting substructure, that created an urgency for the family to find a contractor. After meeting with 3 contractors, the O’Brien’s decided to move forward with Outback. Jim O’Brien explained, “The truth is, the two other firms probably could have done the job, but your process, with the way it was managed in house, was just excellent.”  The homeowners wanted to move forward with Outback Deck because of the systems Outback have in place to provide a great customer experience.

“Synthetic was something we knew we wanted before selecting a contractor. Once Outback Deck introduced us to TimberTech, we knew we had to use their products because the board itself was fully wrapped…” said Jim. The O’Briens have a lower level deck, and its tallest point is no more then 4 feet off of the ground. For homeowners with a deck 4 feet or lower, having a fully wrapped board is crucial to longevity.  Jim concluded, “…all that to say, we didn’t really choose the product, we chose Outback Deck and got the best products because of that.”

The O’Briens installed TimberTech composite decking and a powder coated aluminum railing to improve the longevity of their deck and decrease maintenance. With a lovely, gated backyard for the dogs, the family spends a majority of their time ‘Outback’.

The O’Brien family is excited to say, “We could not be happier with our project.”
