Gwaltney Family Client Testimonial

Outback Deck installed a brand new, gabled, screened in Porch for the Gwaltney Family in Suwanee, GA. In addition, the family added electrical work for watching sports and being outside at nighttime, an outdoor deck for grilling, a fully tongue and groove ceiling with fans and can lighting, all finished with TimberTech composite decking and aluminum railing for low maintenance. The original footprint was a wooden deck less than half the size of their new project. John Gwaltney is a recurring customer for Outback, who installed a composite deck on his old home in Roswell, GA. He explained, “There was no reason to look for other contractors, we knew we wanted Outback to do our project.”

A sport fanatic family, they knew they had to have an outdoor entertainment space to watch the games together. Another important factor to the project for them was having a space to grill for the games that didn’t affect their outdoor living dreams. They had Outback extend the deck outside of the screened in walls and add an approximate 8’x10’ open section to meet this need.  With their dream project complete, the Gwaltney family spends most of their time out on their back porch for meals and entertainment. After asking Heidi Gwaltney what she loves most about the project she said, “I feel happiest when I am spending time with my people, and now that we have this incredible space, I not only get to spend tons of time with my own family, but with extended family and friends as well, all in the comfort of my home.” John added, “The backyard is heavily wooded (as you can see in the video) and with our house already being elevated the extension of the porch gives us that treehouse/cabin in the woods feeling that we absolutely love.”
