We have replaced windows, laid wood flooring, and installed a kitchen backsplash using other Virtus family companies - so we were not surprised when we experienced the same excellent service and craftsmanship with Outback Deck.
Chris listened to our needs to correct drainage from the walkway, make our deck safe, and improve the curb appeal to our home. Chris had an engineer to evaluate our deck and provided us a proposal with several variations depending on the extent of the repair to complete rebuilding. Chris, along with me and my wife come up with a design for the front yard - included a retaining wall and elevated flower bed. Chris presented us with the proposals and went to great lengths to explain what was to be done and the materials to be used. Since we are getting our house ready to be put on the market we decided to forego the deck project. During the installation of the walkway and retaining wall Chris stopped by to check on the project. After the retaining wall was completed, I noticed that our mailbox was not secured to the concrete slab. Chris returned and secured the mailbox himself.
Aldo and his crew were helpful in minimizing the "damage" to the driveway and sidewalk when the material was delivered - piles of gravel and stone blocks. Aldo was receptive to our input during the building of the retaining wall. Aldo also made necessary changes to the plan on the fly which end up saving us some money. The crew arrived on time and worked during the hottest days so far this summer.
The crew cleaned up all the debris from the install everyday. Cutting of the cap stones generated lots of dust which drifted to the neighbor's side yard coating their air conditioners. The crew took it upon themselves to clean the neighbor's air conditioners.
We have worked with Outback Deck's sister companies, Nehemiah Exteriors and Renovation Associates, and were extremely satisfied with the work they did for us - so it was our first and only call when it was time to address our aging deck and improve the curb appeal of our home.
