"The foundation stones for a balanced success are honesty, character, integrity, faith, love and loyalty."
Started in the construction field at the age of 16. Worked as a painter, then operated painting businesses through the mid 90’s. Began licensed remodeling company in 2001 (RAI) and spent the first 6 years building large additions, kitchens, bathrooms and basements. In 2007-2008, opened Outback Deck to help our customers through the downturn. By 2013, Outback had become the “lions share” of the business.
Focus has always been on personal growth and development; the need to continue education within the industry and practice continuous improvement. Hold specialty certifications from National Kitchen and Bath Association, North American Deck and Railing Association and a Georgia Residential Light Contractors License.
In my spare time I enjoy scuba diving, traveling with my wife of 30 years, and spending time with my 3 daughters and 1 son-in-law. Avid Atlanta United soccer fan and passionate ice hockey supporter. Involved in church activities, Passion student movement and community service through the Tommy Nobis Center.
I grew up in Western NY (Rochester) and spent my years in college at Ithaca. After graduation, I moved to Boston for about 2 years, then took a job with a company here in Atlanta (1989). My degree is in Speech Pathology and Audiology, but I spent my summers operating College Pro Painters businesses. This business education led me to my career in In-Home Services. I have spent the better part of the last 20 years learning, growing, and developing as an entrepreneur. In addition to receiving my Georgia Residential Light contractors’ license, I have been trained in Dale Carnegie’s sales methodology, the 10+1 model and the CCN 4P process. I have various certifications in production management, sales management and process development. My passion for education and learning is a large part of my daily involvement at Outback Deck. I enjoy training and developing staff and sales team members and field crews, and I love working with consumers to guide them through the process of designing and building an outdoor living project.
