The Angilello’s multi-level decks are topped off by the 9 ft. tall pergola. The pergola is set on 6” x 6” posts and is anchored into the side of the house with carriage bolting. The front “header” of the pergola is constructed of double 1” x 10” planks that support the series of 1” x 8” vertically positioned planks that make up the “roof” of the pergola. The pergola provides shade as well as a sun area for plants and vines to grow. Although the pergola spans most of the deck, the posts are positioned within the desk and yet provide room for the Angilello’s and their pets to freely move around the deck and still enjoy the sun and shade benefits from the pergola. |
